DO I NEED A PRESCRIPTION FOR PHYSICAL THERAPY?
Most insurances do not pay for physical therapy if it is not ordered by a physician on a prescription.
DO I NEED TO GO TO THE THERAPY COMPANY MY DOCTOR SUGGESTED?
No, a prescription for physical therapy is like a prescription for medicine. You can go to any physical therapist just like you can go to any pharmacy.
HOW DO I SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT?
You can call the clinic and we will be happy to arrange an appointment at your convenience.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO MY FIRST APPOINTMENT?
You should bring picture identification, insurance cards, prescription from your physician and any test results you may have like X-ray reports or MRI reports.
HOW LONG IS EACH APPOINTMENT?
Each appointment is approximately one hour.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
You should wear clothing that will allow easy access to the body part that we will be treating.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT ON MY FIRST VISIT?
A physical therapist will discuss your diagnosis and evaluate you for the treatment prescribed by your physician. You will be asked what your goals are with regards to therapy and a specific plan of care will be established to help you achieve your goals.
DO YOU BILL MY INSURANCE?
Most insurances have a Physical Therapy benefit in the policy. We will bill your insurance and inform you of deductibles, copays if applicable.
